tweedy & popp's move a success!

we did it!  we moved thousands of items from the OLD Tweedy & Popp location to the NEW Tweedy & Popp location in Wallingford Center!  it was SUCH a fun way to spend a saturday morning with our neighbors.  about 100 neighbors came out, Trophy cupcakes donated baby-cakes for everyone, and we all got Tweedy tees!  watch the KOMO video here:

Wallingford Helping Tweedy & Popp Move This Saturday!

hi all!  i am so excited to tell you about the community move we've got planned this Saturday to help Tweedy & Popp move across the street!  Tweedy & Popp is Seattle's oldest hardware store and the oldest Wallingford business to boot!  

they are moving into a lovely, larger space in Wallingford Center this Saturday and i and a bunch of other Wallingford Chamber members and Wallingford residents have organized a human chain to help them move the last items into the store.  so come on down everyone and help us move the last items.  we're going to pass things down the chain from the front door of the old T&P to the front door of their new digs!  then we can all pat ourselves on the back and partake in some neighborhood sweets!  trophy cupcakes and molly moon's for the masses!  i hope to see you all there.  here are the details:

WHO:  Wallingfordites

WHAT: Help Tweedy & Popp move across the street in a big human chain of neighborly spirit

WHERE: meet at the front door of the OLD Tweedy & Popp

WHEN: meet at 11 am sharp!  Saturday, March 28 (it should only take a half hour, so come on time!)

WHY: because you love Tweedy & Popp and you LOVE your neighborhood.  AND because you and your kids totally want to be on TV and in the paper and we hear both are coming to see our display of neighborhood spirit!
